Therefore, we are now going to tell you exactly what esports is and how you can combine esports with an absolutely fantastic education at a college in the USA.

what is esports?
Esport (electronic sport), is a term for competitions carried out on a computer or a game console, where the contestants play different kinds of computer/console games against each other. So esports is like any other sport. You compete either in teams or solo, facing an opponent to win your match or tournament.
The esports scene is massive around the world where there are millions of both young and older esports players, where they compete to win millions of kroner in prize money. If we take an example of an esports player named Kyle Giersdorf, also known as “Bugha” in the esports scene. This guy who was born in December 2002, has taken home over 40 MILLION kroner in prize money alone. Incredible!
Esports is so big that you can study esports in high school now in Sweden. For example, schools like NTI and LBS have Esports educations, which is absolutely fantastic for esports to continue to grow at the incredibly fast rate it already does.
Is Esport really a sport? In Sweden, the Swedish Sports Confederation has now been voted into the National Sports Confederation (RF), on 28th May 2023, which means that esports is now classified as a sport in Sweden. Which esports has already been classified as in over 50 countries around the world.
what is college esport?
College Esport in the USA started around 2009, where several schools started forming esports clubs where they played all kinds of games and also competed in tournaments with other schools. Now in 2023, 14 years later, the Esports scene in the USA is massive! There are over 300 schools that offer varsity esports and this number is increasing all the time. This means that the schools that have varsity esports offer a scholarship for you as a student to represent that school in your favorite game. College esports is often seen as a platform for gamers to be able to develop as players and a great way to become a professional.
This chance, so combine his playing together with a fantastic education at college in the USA. It is a fantastic opportunity to also receive a scholarship. This means that you get part of the cost paid by the school because you are considered an athlete.

The academic part of an American college is, of course, different from school to school, but college is at a very high minimum level and academically there is something for everyone as there are countless courses that will suit whoever you are.
Both the sport and esports are absolutely incredible in college as the whole school comes to cheer when you represent your school’s team against other schools in the respective games. Which means that you will be the face of the school and will fight for the school you represent to be the best.
Esports and sports in America play a big role for schools. Because the college level is so high that it is broadcast all over the country. As I said, you can combine a good education while playing your favorite game and have the chance to become a professional. This opportunity to be able to combine an education with a sport at this level does not exist in other countries and therefore an American college is a very good choice.
You will not only have the adventure of a lifetime, you will also grow incredibly as a person. You will go abroad and have a completely new experience. what do college esport costs?
There are a lot of costs that come with starting your college adventure. It’s everything from costs to tests and visa fees. This must be paid before you are in college, including expenses, fees and books you use at school. It can feel very overwhelming, so we’re going to put your mind at ease and walk you through what both pre- and post-college costs look like.
As I said, there are costs before college, there are the costs to us at Luna, there are also costs for tests, visas, and more.
As I said, there are costs during college, for example all college costs, as well as costs for, among other things, books, etc.
Here we can give an example for College Costs:
Before College Costs:

However, as an Esport player, you can get a scholarship of up to 70% to represent the Maryville “Saints”, which means that the new total cost will instead be only $11,355
When you then look at the sums of college, you can get a little discouraged and wonder how you will actually be able to finance this? No danger, to finance college you use what has become known as the “best loan in the world”, you turn to CSN. On the other hand, if you don’t want to use CSN, there is no danger at all, but there is always something there for you. That helps one cover up to the entire college cost.

what are the fees to luna?
By hiring Luna as a college recruitment agency, it will cost SEK 20,000. This is a cost we charge for as soon as you have hired Luna as your agency and we start the work.
It is a non-refundable payment. However, if you choose to cancel the payments during the process, we will not demand the remaining cost. To make it easier and smoother for you, you can also choose to make partial payments.
Here are some examples of partial payments:
2 Months:
10 000 SEK x 2 + 500 SEKÂ Installment fee
3Â Months:
6 666 SEK x 3 + 1 000 SEK Installment fee

This means that they will not have the time to sit and check through everyone who applies to their program, this can make it difficult as a private person to be discovered. The first step a college recruiting agency takes is to do an evaluation of where we think our athlete might end up, we then contact specific schools and coaches that we think would find our athlete relevant to their program. We will also do all the negotiations about your scholarships, which can be very messy if you don’t know what you are doing, we will make sure that you are not cheated and we will also check the school’s offer to see if you get the scholarship that you deserve. If you do this yourself, coaches can take the opportunity to give the smallest possible scholarship. By hiring a college agency, you get the scholarship you deserve.
We will also be a support throughout the process, it can be very safe to know that you can talk to someone who has gone through the same process as what you are about to go through, that is why our support can be very important. What we mean by staying involved has several meanings, being well informed about the College and College Esport, helping to meet deadlines and other things to be submitted to both us and the school. Thus being a mainstay in the whole process, which is something that is always nice to feel you have, especially in big decisions like starting college.
Let the Children Make Their Decisions:
Even if you as parents offer good tips and try to help your children as much as possible, it is important to understand that it is your child who must follow his own dream and thus can make his own decisions. Since your child will also have full contact with a College Coach, it is important that the child and the coach get in touch so that it is not the parent who only talks to the coach on their behalf.
